About Kashif Bhatti

I'm a backend-focused full stack developer from Multan, Pakistan, with 5+ years of professional experience. PHP and Laravel were my first stack and they are still my strongest: I build, maintain and scale web applications, REST APIs and the MySQL data behind them, with a strong focus on problem solving, performance and clean architecture.

Laravel is also where I learned backend engineering: clean API design, careful data modelling, security, testing and code that stays maintainable. Those principles don't belong to one framework, so I bring them to Node.js or whatever backend a project needs.

I started as a web developer intern at a software house in Multan, then spent almost four years as the remote full stack developer for a South African trading company. Today I build features end to end for FitLynk, a fitness platform in Dubai, where I rebuilt the nearby gym search and cut map load time from about 7 seconds to 3. I've worked remotely for most of my career, so I'm used to owning my work and communicating clearly across time zones.

I'm also an AI enthusiast. For more than a year I've used coding agents like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex and Lovable every day to get more done without lowering the bar. I decide the architecture and data model myself, break the work into clear tasks, and review every change before it ships. If I can't explain a piece of code, it doesn't go in. How I work with AI.
